Icons 2022 groups formed

Today, June 18, the Play-In stage of the Wild Rift Icons Global Championship 2022 has officially ended. The logical conclusion was the draw, which determined the teams in the Icons 2022 group stage.

There will be a total of 4 groups from A to D, each of which will have 4 teams. There were two ways to get into the Icons 2022 group stage: by taking first place in the Wild Rift continental tournaments, that is, on your home stage, or by taking 1-2 place in the Play-In stage of the main event, where the finalists of the continental tournaments advanced.

The results of the draw were immediately announced on the official twitter page that monitors the mobile gaming esports scene.

Group A:

Group C:

• Fun Plus Phoenix

• J.D. Gaming
• Liberty

In general, the groups came out quite diverse and balanced. We see that a lot of teams from East Asia and Latin America made it to the group stage, which is very different from the usual layout in the computer version of the game.

The only group that stands out from the rest is Group D, where there are both continental winners from North America, Korea and finalists from China. The Brazilian team Liberty also joined them after Play-In. Perhaps for them it will become the so-called "group of death".
