The ESL One Berlin Major 2023 was an embarrassment for the North American Dota 2 scene. Top-4 ranked Shopify Rebellion in Lima failed to defeat a major rival in Berlin, and the best team in the region, TSM, once again failed to live up to their title.

Now, the local giants have one last chance to prove themselves by qualifying for the IO Bali Major 2023. The road to the decisive Major of the season begins here at DPC 2023 Tour 3 NA Upper Division where 8 teams will battle for 2 entries to the Indonesian Championships, $205,000 and 1,150 DPC points from May 15 - June 4.

Regional giants TSM and Shopify Rebellion remain the main contenders for the trip to Bali. The clubs have been in direct confrontation all year for the title of best team in the region and so far TSM are well ahead of their direct pursuer: twice the club has won the league and twice SR Stuu have finished second.

In addition to key players, Nouns, B8, felt, DoChamp and league newcomers Sand King Gomez and ALPHA will battle for the slot. The eight will play from May 15 to June 4.

The main draw at DPC 2023 Tour 3 NA Upper Division remains the clash between Shopify Rebellion and TSM. Given the clubs' far from benchmark play on the international stage, winning a regional league potentially paves the way directly to The International 2023.

However, there remain nouns in North America who have gained experience playing in DreamLeague Season 19 and have been in competition with the two main teams for two seasons. North America games will be played over three weeks. The first and second week are 4 game days each and the final week is 5 game days. Games are played on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and the last game is played on Sunday.
