How to enable the unlimited round time in CS:GO

As it is common, the time of the round is equal to a few minutes in the basic CSGO settings. However, if you decide to practice or have some fun with your friends, you will probably need to increase the time of the round or even make it unlimited.

On the Internet, there is a lot of information regarding the activation of the unlimited round time but a lot of this information is not provided completely or is provided incorrectly and many players can’t increase the round time by using such advice.

Let’s find out how to enable the unlimited round time after all.

What is necessary to activate the infinite round time

First of all, you should remember that enabling unlimited round time is possible only on your personal server.

Secondly, you will need to activate the cheat mode with the help of the console command sv_cheats 1.

Then, you can use the following console commands, depending on the map type:

• mp_roundtime_defuse 60 – setting the round duration on the maps with bomb defusing. The number is the time of the round in minutes (60 minutes is the maximum round duration at the moment. There is no sense in typing the bigger numbers because 60 minutes will be set. This is not eternity but it will be enough for a long play)
• mp_roundtime_hostage 60 – a command for the maps with hostage rescue
• mp_roundtime 60 – a command for the rest of the maps

After entering the necessary command, you should enter the command mp_restartgame 1 (the restart of the match) to enable the new time settings.

To make it easier, you can enter all the commands in one line:

mp_roundtime_defuse 60;mp_roundtime_hostage 60;mp_roundtime 60;mp_restartgame 1

Other commands for time settings

• mp_buytime 60000 – the time, given for weapon purchasing (in seconds)
• mp_buy_anywhere 1 – enables weapon purchasing at any place on the map

mp_freezetime 0 – disables the freeze of movement at the beginning of the round
