Today will be a good day for all fans of interesting CS: GO. It is today that the Conference-stage of a major championship from one of the main tournament esports operators of our time, ESL Pro League Season 15, begins. This stage will allow the three best teams to enter EPL Season 15, the prize fund of which is as much as $ 823,000.
It is noteworthy that no one will leave the ESL Pro League Season 15 Conference without prizes. The rest of the participants will split the $ 27,000 and 270 ESL Pro Tour Ranking Points between each other. None of the teams received a direct invitation from the organizers. All slots were distributed among the best representatives of their divisions and tournaments in which they took part.
ESL Pro League Season 15 Conference will not have a group stage or playoffs, and the teams will start their way straight to the playoffs. The teams will play in the double-elimination bracket, and therefore will have a legal right to one mistake. Two invites for the fifteenth season of the ESL Pro League will be distributed in the upper bracket, while one will go to the best team in the lower bracket. All confrontations, including decisive ones, will be held in the Bo3 format.
The event will be attended by teams of different calibers, ranging from MAD Lions, which are on the 21st place in the list of the best CS: GO teams in the world according to HLTV, and, for example, EC Brugge, a Belgian team that is not even included in the top hundred. The team is ranked 139th.
The prize pool for ESL Pro League Season 15 Conference will be distributed as follows:
- 1-2 place (top bracket) - invitation to EPL # 15
- 1-2 place (top bracket) - invitation to EPL # 15
- 3rd Place (Lower Bracket) - Invitation to EPL # 15
- 4th place - $ 5,000 + 60 EPL points
- 5th-6th place - $ 3,500 + 45 EPL points
