VP.Prodigy continues to fight at WePlay Academy League Season 3

The VP.Prodigy team outplayed FURIA Academy with a score of 2:1, thus remaining in the race for two tickets to the WePlay Academy League Season 3 Finals. Now the Russian team will have to face the Eternal Fire Academy, playing for a place in the finals of the Play-In stage.

The quarterfinal meeting between VP.Prodigy and FURIA Academy started on the Mirage map, which became the choice of the Brazilian team. However, already at the start, VP.Prodigy made it clear that the "hosts" would have to try hard if they wanted to save their lives within the framework of the tournament. Nevertheless, immediately after the change of sides, the initiative completely passed into the hands of the Brazilians, who quickly reduced the gap, and then completely took the lead, thereby taking the lead in the series - 16:14.

Next, the teams moved to the Vertigo map, which turned out to be the choice of VP.Prodigy. At the same time, the Russian team quickly marked the advantage, finishing the half with a two-fold advantage. After switching sides, VP.Prodigy continued to gain, while FURIA Academy could not come up with anything in the attack — 16:6.

Everything was decided on the Nuke map, which developed according to a similar scenario: a twofold advantage of the Russian team before the switchover, as well as the complete impotence of FURIA Academy in the second half. As a result, VP.Prodigy closed the series very easily, going to the next Play-In round — 16:6.

WePlay Academy League Season 3 runs from January 3rd to February 13th. Ten teams compete for a prize pool of $100,000, of which $45,000 will go to the winner of the championship.
