Vitality, OG and FaZe Clan qualified for BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2022

Teams Vitality, OG and FaZe Clan outplayed G2 (2:1), NIP (2:1) and BIG (2:1), respectively, thus qualifying for BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2022. We are summing up the results of the penultimate gaming day of the championship, which determined all the participants of the Last Chance stage.

G2-Vitality

The first final of the gaming day started on the Inferno map, which became the choice of the Danish-French team. At the same time, the hosts, having shown a good start, lost their advantage before the change of sides, allowing the opponent to take the lead. However, in the second half, G2 was completely unsuccessful in attack, while Vitality confidently dealt with any opponent's attacks. As a result, ZywOo and the company confidently closed their own peak and took the lead in the series - 16:10.

Next, the teams moved to Mirage, which turned out to be the choice of G2. Here NiKo finally revealed his fire potential, in fact, deciding all questions about the winners in the first half. Moreover, Vitality was unable to oppose anything to the opponent's attack, winning only four rounds for defense. Well, after switching sides, G2 ended the opponent's torment extremely quickly, thereby equalizing the score in the series - 16:4.

Everything was decided on the Dust 2 map, where the Danish-French team finally managed to prove themselves in the starting half, gaining a twofold advantage over the opponent. After the change of sides, G2 began to resist much more actively. However, the advantage earned at the start of the decisive map was enough for Vitality to win — 16:12.

OG -NIP

The second match of the game day started on the Overpass map, which was chosen by the Swedish team. However, NIP quickly regretted their decision, as OG played an exemplary half on defense, managing to close the opponent's attack with a score of 12:3. After the side switch, the intrigue finally disappeared from the server, as nexa and the company quickly got the necessary rounds, thereby managing to take the lead in the series — 16:4.

Next, the teams moved to the map Ancient, which became the choice of OG. At the same time, the “hosts” showed a decent half in the attack, managing to keep a minimum gap from the Swedes. At the same time, OG got off to a great start after the switchover, securing a slight advantage for themselves. However, towards the end of the match, NIP players began to wake up, not only catching up with the opponent, but also getting three map points. Despite all the attempts of OG to extend the meeting into overtime, the Swedish team managed to keep the advantage, equalizing the score in the series — 16:14.

Everything was decided on the Mirage map, which initially was not in favor of OG. After a relatively equal first half, the Swedes managed to quickly break away from the opponent, at some point having excellent chances of winning. However, in the end, OG managed to seize the initiative to level the difference and move the map into overtime. Here the team finally turned the game around, getting a strong-willed victory over the opponent — 19:17.

FaZe Clan-BIG

The final meeting of the gaming day started on the Dust 2 map, which was expectedly chosen by the BIG team. At the same time, FaZe Clan managed to show a good half in defense, gaining a psychological advantage before switching sides. In the second half, the Germans began to catch up, but invariably made mistakes, which was used by ropz and company. As a result, the outcome of the map was decided in the very ending, where FaZe Clan managed to keep the advantage, thus taking the lead in the series — 16:14.

Next, the teams moved to the Overpass map, which became the choice of FaZe Clan. However, the team quickly wished for their choice, having managed to win only two rounds in attack. As a result, BIG players, who received a chic gift from their opponent, easily took advantage of the situation to equalize the score in the series — 16:2.

Everything was decided on the map Nuke, which again passed without much struggle. This time, FaZe Clan managed to show an exemplary half in defense, giving the opponent only one round. Well, in the second half, the team very soon resolved all the issues, recording the final defeat - 16:1.
