Today the big Counter-Strike comes out of vacation. The first major LAN event in 2022, IEM Katowice 2022, starts in Katowice.
24 teams will play at the debut offline event. The teams gathered in Poland will compete for a total prize pool of $1,000,000.

Today in action we will see only 16 teams participating in the Play-In stage. The championship will start with three parallel matches: NiP vs. Wisla Krakow, CPH Flames vs. Fnatic, Godsent vs. Mouz. Then FaZe and Sprout, OG and Renegades, ENCE and Entropiq, Movistar Riders and BIG will play, and Astralis and MIBR will close the first round of Play-In.
The Play-In stage will be played in the Double-Elimination format. Following the results of the Play-In, 8 teams will join the 8 invited in the group stage.
