Astralis is the first team to make a grand finalist at the Pinnacle Cup Championship 2022

Astralis beat BIG in the bo3 series with a score of 2:0. The Germans from BIG failed to reach the grand final of the Pinnacle Cup Championship 2022 on their first attempt. They will have one more attempt, they will have to fight in the lower bracket with a serious opponent in the face of Heroic. The winner of this meeting will face Astralis in the grand final.

The Ancient map initially looked like the Danes were not going to fight against BIG, they were losing with a score of 0:6. But how quickly everything changed, BIG began to make unnecessary attacks, and Astralis, in turn, very skillfully put in the head, put until they finished the first half in their favor 8:7. And this was the side of the attack on Ancient. For the team from Germany, this only meant that they would have to try very hard to show an attack at least as good as that of the Danes. But we did not see their attacks at all, Astralis, starting with a score of 0:6, turn the meeting in their favor and have no chance to win BIG with a score of 16:7.

The second map was the favorite map of the Germans - Dust2. What a strong attack they demonstrated, very confidently they take the side in their favor with a large margin, 5:10 according to the results of the first half. The commentators were already preparing for the fact that they would have to see the Nuke card again. But the Danes from Astralis had a different opinion on this matter. After switching sides, BIG simply fails the defense, leaving Astralis to do whatever they want on the map. And when it seemed that all the same, the Germans would still be able to compete at least for overtime, they take and lose the force in one of the last rounds, which greatly shook their possible comeback. As a result, we have a score of 16:13 in favor of the Danish team, and they, in turn, will be watching who they will have to fight in the grand final.

The Pinnacle Cup Championship 2022 is the culmination of over two years of events sponsored by Pinnacle and in partnership with GRID Esports. The tournament takes place from 8 to 11 June in the Swedish city of Lund at the Sparbanken Skåne Arena. As part of the championship, eight participants from Europe, North and South America are fighting for a prize pool of $250,000.
