Movistar Riders becomes the champion of ESL Challenger Valencia 2022 at DreamHack

ESL Challenger at DreamHack Valencia 2022 has ended. As part of the competition, which took place from July 1 to July 3 in Spain at the Feria Valencia site, eight teams from the CIS, Europe, China and Brazil fought for a prize fund of $100,000, rating points, and a ticket at the ESL Pro League Conference Season 17. The winner of the championship was the Movistar Riders team, which in the grand final managed to beat the Outsiders with a score of 2:1 (Inferno - 9:16; Overpass - 16:14; Vertigo - 16:14).

The tournament for the Spanish team started with two crushing victories in the group stage over HUMMER Esports (16:0) and MIBR (16:3). Having made it to the playoffs, Movistar Riders confidently outplayed Sprout (2:0), thanks to which they reached the grand final of the home championship.

However, the series against Outsiders started with a defeat on the Inferno map, after which the Spanish team had to outdo themselves in order to snatch victories on Overpass and Vertigo, and at the same time win the ESL Challenger at DreamHack Valencia 2022.

The current ESL Pro League Conference Season 17 lineup is as follows: Movistar Riders, Rare Atom, Falcons Esports and paiN Gaming.

• 1st place: Movistar Riders — $50,000 + slot at ESL Pro League Conference Season 17.
• 2nd place: Outsiders — $20,000.
• 3rd-4th place: Rare Atom and Sprout — $10,000.
• 5th-6th place: MIBR and 00NATION - $3,000.
• 7th-8th place: FURIA and HUMMER — $2,000.
