ESEA Season 41 Grand Final: Advanced Division - Europe will be replayed

The ESEA tournament platform has decided to replay the grand final of ESEA Season 41: Advanced Division - Europe. Recall that the day before, the BLUEJAYS players received a forfeit defeat due to their refusal to finish the match with the coach. Nevertheless, the organizers went to meet the Macedonian team, whose player had previously been suspended due to account blocking.

Earlier today, we issued several account sharing bans based on data collected by the ESEA client where players were using shared hardware. We use this type of data, in particular, to issue account sharing bans.

In this incident, none of the players whose accounts were suspended provided us with any information prior to the match or contacted us until their accounts were suspended. These locks were reviewed by several employees before they were approved. The team advancing to the grand final contested the ban during the match. It was revised during the match, however we were confident that the ban had been imposed accurately based on the data and information available to us at that time.

By discussing the appeal with each affected person, we were eventually able to get more information and the locks have since been lifted. The Grand Final will be completely reset and played with a score of 1:0 in favor of the team that left the upper bracket.

Before the start of the scheduled ESEA Season 41: Advanced Division - Europe Grand Final, one of the BLUEJAYS players received an account ban for transferring his account. However, later kyxsan provided all the evidence to the organizers, explaining that the reason for the blocking was the computers used during the recent European Championship in Romania.

However, the Macedonian team did not have time to challenge the decision before the start of the match, having to play a duel with the coach. After losing the Dust 2 map, the team decided to withdraw and get a forfeit loss. ESEA later released a statement announcing the unbanning of kyxsan's account and also announced the replay of the grand final between forZe and BLUEJAYS.

The forZe CEO joined the discussion and shed some light on the events surrounding the championship and the final match. According to MegioN, BLUEJAYS asked to reschedule the Upper Bracket Final match to a later time, which was accepted by the forZe players. However, later the Macedonian team refused to postpone the grand final, but later the organizers went to the forZe meeting. Already after the blocking of the kyxsan account, the BLUEJAYS players again filed a request to postpone the match to another day for filing an appeal, but now the forZe team refused, thereby forcing the opponent to play with the coach.

Ultimately, the match took place and ended in a technical defeat for BLUEJAYS, but later the organizers granted the appeal of the Macedonian team and allowed the grand final to be replayed in full squads.

ESEA Season 41: Advanced Division - Europe runs from April 25th. As part of the championship, more than 80 participants are fighting for a prize pool of $20,300, as well as a ticket to the ESL Challenger League Season 42: Europe.
