9INE wins ESL Challenger League Season 42: Europe

Has come to the end of ESL Challenger League Season 42: Europe. During the tournament, which was held online from August 30 to October 23, sixteen teams from Europe and the CIS competed for a total prize pool of $50,000, as well as a ticket to the ESL Pro League Conference Season 17. The Polish team 9INE became the winner of the championship, which in in the grand final she managed to overcome BLUEJAYS with a score of 3:2 (Default - 0:1; Mirage - 17:19; Vertigo - 16:6; Dust II - 16:14; Overpass - 16:8).
The tournament for the future winner began with a difficult performance at the group stage, as a result of which 9INE lost to 1WIN (1:2) and forZe (1:2), not getting into the playoffs. However, the Russian team decided to withdraw from the event, thus letting the Poles go further.
In the playoffs, 9INE first beat the Bad News Eagles (2:1), but lost to BLUEJAYS (0:2) in the semi-finals and flew to the lower bracket. Here the team found the strength to defeat HEET (2:1), Bad News Eagles (2:0) and 1WIN (2:1), reaching the grand final.
In the decisive match of the championship, the Poles managed to turn the streak against BLUEJAYS (3:2) to become the winner of the ESL Challenger League Season 42: Europe.
