The MOUZ team defeated fnatic 2:1 at IEM Rio Major 2022, thanks to which they made their way to the "legends". According to the results of the Challengers stage, the European team got three wins, guaranteeing a place on Team Spirit or Team Liquid, depending on the final seeding. In turn, the fnatic team will try their luck in the next round of the championship.
The first fight for a slot in "legends" started on the map Vertigo, which became the choice of fnatic. However, keita's charges didn't show anything interesting, showing too modest attack. In turn, the "mice" played well in defense, having managed to get a two-fold advantage - 10:5. After the side switch, fnatic players tried to come back, spinning for a couple of rounds. But here the MOUZ team turned on again, which gave a powerful spurt and took the lead in the series — 16:8.
Next, the teams moved to the Inferno map, which turned out to be the choice of MOUZ. If the pistol streak was left behind by the "mice", then fnatic players were able to adjust to the pace of the opponent and run ahead. And yet, MOUZ did not let the opponent go far, reducing the gap to a comfortable three rounds - 9:6. However, after switching sides, the "mice" could no longer turn on, while fnatic caught their game and quickly reached the third map - 16:9.
Everything was decided on the map Ancient, the first half of which ended in a comfortable advantage for the "mice" - 9:6. After switching sides, MOUZ managed to quickly seize the initiative to run ahead, and then get the final victory in the series - 16:9.
