Earlier, the organizers forbade the team to take part in tournaments held outside of their native region, that is, outside of Brazil. However, MIBR has now been officially announced for the upcoming ESL Challenger League Season 44: North America.
The ESL spokesperson's initial statement was in response to fans' anger after MIBR managed to secure an invitation to IEM Katowice 2023 via the South American leaderboard despite the fact that the team plays in North America and that's where they score their points.
