The Brazilian team paiN Gaming sensationally lost to IHC Esports with a score of 0:2, thus leaving IEM Katowice 2023. The team suffered a second defeat in the Play-In stage, taking the final last line in the championship. In turn, the Mongolian team goes to the second round of the competition, where they will play with FURIA for a slot in the group stage.
The starting meeting of the second gaming day started on the Inferno map, which became the choice of the Mongolian team. However, the teams could not determine the leader for a long time, going to the break with a minimal advantage in favor of IHC Esports — 8:7. After the change of sides, the Brazilians still tried to resist, but very quickly ran out of steam. After switching sides, IHC Esports managed to win the pistol series, thanks to which the team immediately ran ahead and did not let the opponent in to knock out paiN Gaming from the championship — 16:11.
