Team Spirit defeated Sprout with a score of 2:1, thanks to which they became the last participant in the group stage of IEM Katowice 2023. In turn, the Danish-Romanian team left the championship, having suffered a second defeat in the Play-In stage.
The final game of the Play-In stage started on the Overpass map, which became the choice of the Danish-Romanian team. However, the "dragons" quickly seized the initiative on the server to put the opponent in a difficult position. In turn, Sprout could not do anything in the attack, having received a natural defeat - 11:4. After the side switch, BERRY's men could not get into the game, while Team Spirit quickly put the squeeze on their opponent and took the lead in the series — 16:4.
Next, the teams moved to the Vertigo map, which became the choice of the "dragons". However, here the situation completely changed the places of the participants, since now Team Spirit was already experiencing problems in the attack, while Sprout confidently ran forward. As a result, the Danish-Romanian team skated almost to zero for the defense, having actually resolved all issues in advance - 12:3. After the switch of sides, the fans did not see any struggle, as Sprout quickly got the necessary rounds and equalized the score in the series - 16:6.
Everything was decided on the Anubis map, which started with an excellent attack by the "dragons", who obtained a twofold advantage after the half in the attack - 10:5. However, the switch of sides did not help Sprout turn on, while the Team Spirit players quickly adapted to the defense and secured the final victory — 16:10.
