Complexity Gaming, IHC Esports, Bad News Eagles and Grayhound Gaming Receive Invitations to ESL Challenger at DreamHack Melbourne 2023
Tournament operator ESL has officially announced the names of four invited participants to the ESL Challenger at DreamHack Melbourne 2023. Complexity Gaming , IHC Esports, Bad News Eagles and Grayhound Gaming were invited to the tournament as the selected representatives of the ESL rating. At the same time, the Australian team Grayhound Gaming received a regional invitation, as they will perform at the home championship.
It is worth assuming in advance that many eminent teams have refused invitations to the competition due to the tight schedule, since Intel Extreme Masters Rio 2023 will be held in Melbourne a week before the tournament.
Nevertheless, guided by its rating, the tournament operator ESL gave invites to quite colorful participants. The other four teams participating in ESL Challenger at DreamHack Melbourne 2023 will be determined based on the results of closed qualifiers for Europe, North America, Asia and Oceania. These qualifiers will take place at various times over the next month.
The championship will begin with the group stage, in which all eight teams will be divided into two quartets. According to the results of the group stage, four participants will advance to the playoffs, where the winner of the ESL Challenger at DreamHack Melbourne 2023 will be determined in a single elimination bracket.
