Skyesports Unveils Spectacular 2024 Masters: A Groundbreaking Chapter in Indian Counter-Strike with a Staggering $350,000 Prize Pool!

Skyesports has revealed additional details about its upcoming 2024 Masters event, marking the largest Counter-Strike competition ever hosted by the Indian organization. Set to unfold from April 8 to 14, the tournament boasts an impressive $350,000 prize pool.
Although the location for the event is yet to be disclosed, it coincides with the IEM Chengdu schedule. IEM Chengdu, a Chinese tournament, will showcase ten teams presently ranked within the top 20, including the formidable world No.1, FaZe.
The Skyesports Masters will extend invitations to six international teams, while the remaining two slots will be determined through qualifiers—one for European teams and another for Indian squads.
Anticipation surrounds the potential impact of the event on the growth of the Indian Counter-Strike scene. However, some caution may be warranted, considering Skyesports' history of ambitious plans that didn't come to fruition. Initially introduced as a franchise league, the Skyesports Masters has evolved into a standalone LAN tournament featuring only one local team. The Skyesports Championship 5.0, initially slated for December 2023 in Mumbai, faced indefinite postponement after Aurora secured qualification and OG accepted an invitation to participate.
This upcoming Skyesports Masters marks the Indian company's second CS2 tournament. Preceding it is the Skyesports Grand Slam, a $48,500 LAN tournament scheduled for next month in Pune. The event will host four teams, including Aurora and Bad News Kangaroos.
