JerAx and Nightfall are new players for Evil Geniuses
The management of the esports organization Evil Geniuses announced that two not very obvious contenders have joined their
Dota 2 roster. Now Jesse 'JerAx' Vainikka and Egor 'Nightfall' Grigorenko will perform under the EG tag.
Jesse Vainikka spoke about the end of his career in January 2020. There were several reasons for this. Firstly, JerAx has already achieved everything that could be achieved in Dota 2. As part of OG, he won three Major tournaments, and also became the first (as well as his teammates from OG) esports player who managed to conquer two tournament of The International series. Moreover, JerAx was the first to defend the title of World Champion in Dota 2. In 2018 he won The International 8, and in 2019 - The International 9. After the end of TI9, the players lost their motivation to play, Jesse Vainikka competed in Midas Mode 2, after which he went into inactive, and then completely finished his career.
Egor 'Nightfall' Grigorenko started his career as a professional Dota 2 player at the age of 17. First, he signed a contract with Virtus.pro as a member of the main roster. In April 2020, he moved to the youth roster called VP.Prodigy, and a month later he returned to the starting roster of Virtus.pro. As part of VP, Yegor Grigorenko has earned several solid awards. The most solid of them is the victory at the EPIC League Season 2 Division 1, where the team earned $ 200,000 and the 5th-6th place at The International 2021, where Virtus.pro received $ 1,400,600.
The arrived players replaced the departed Deril 'iceiceice' Koh Pei Xian and Tal 'Fly' Aizik. Iceiceice went on to pursue a career as a professional player in Team Secret, and Fly joined Talon Esports, who decided to enter the Dota 2 realm. Nightfall and JerAx will now play alongside Arthur 'Arteezy' Babaev, Abed 'Abed' Yusop and Andreas 'Cr1t-' Nielsen. Sam 'BuLba' Soseil will continue coaching the team.

Sam 'BuLba' Soseil's comment:
Everyone is looking forward to playing with Jesse. He has a lot of great ideas about Dota and his approach to the game. The whole team is thrilled to have him join us and we can't wait to get started and show the fans our potential.
Arthur 'Arteezy' Babaev spoke about the roster change as follows:
This change in the line-up really excites me. I love the idea of switching carry to offlane as the two are often the most interacting roles and Jerax and Nightfall have a lot of fresh air and tactical strategy to bring to the team.
The debut of the updated roster will take place on November 29 within the first division of the American league Dota Pro Circuit. There, Evil Geniuses will, together with seven other tournament participants, share the total prize pool of $ 205,000 and 690 Dota Pro Circuit rating points. DPC NA 2021/2022 Division 1, in addition to Evil Geniuses, will also feature teams such as Quincy Crew, Team Undying, 4 Zoomers, Simply TOOBASED, Black N Yellow, D2 Hustlers and Arkosh Gaming.
