The matches of the second division Dota Pro Circuit 2021/2022 Tour 1 South America are about to begin! In the debut duel, Team Unknown and Infinity will fight against each other. Only one match will be played during the first match day. The matches have already started in all regions except South America.
In the South American division, eight participants will compete for the right to advance to the first division of the next round: Team Unknown, Infinity, Interitus (players who left Crewmates), Inverse, Omega Gaming, Gorillaz-Pride, Our Way and Balrogs. Team Unknown and Infinity got here due to poor results in the top division of last season, Interitus, Inverse, Omega Gaming and Gorillaz-Pride made it through last season's lower division, while Our Way and Balrogs made their way through the closed qualifying round.
According to the Dota Pro Circuit rules, the two worst teams will leave the Dota 2 league and if they want to return to the list of participants, they will have to go through open and closed qualifiers.
The entire DPC will be played in a round-robin group stage format. There will be no playoffs. All meetings will be held in series up to two wins.
