DPC 2021/22 Season 1 – Upper Division: Team Liquid won the first DPC cycle of the new season

A few minutes ago, the match between Tundra Esports and OG ended, which means that the first season of DPC 2021/22 has come to an end. In Western Europe, the 1st place was taken by Team Liquid, the 2nd place by Team Tickles, but then - the most interesting.

Thanks to the victory of Tundra Esports over OG, 4 teams at once claim the TOP-4: Team Secret, Nigma Galaxy, OG and Tundra Esports have 4 wins and 3 losses. According to the law of the genre, these teams must go through replays for 3rd and 4th place, but there is one “but” - the first major of the season was canceled, and now it is not clear whether tiebreaks will be played.

With a high degree of probability, additional rounds will still take place: teams that take places from 1 to 5 receive DPC points, which in the future can play a decisive role in the distribution of slots at The International. Probably, for these points the battle will unfold.
