DPC NA 2023 Tour 1: Division I kicks off tonight!

One of the last to start the matches of the first DPC division of North America. On the night of January 9th-10th, 8 of the best teams in the region will start fighting as part of the DPC NA 2023 Tour 1: Division I. At stake will be prizes, DPC points needed to get to The International 12, as well as 2 slots for 4D Esports Lima Dota Major 2023. Earlier we reported that Burger King became a partner of DPC 2023 in South America .

Format

As part of the first division of the DPC league, 8 esports clubs will take part. 6 participants retained their places at the end of the previous season, and 2 teams earned a promotion, taking places in the top 2 of the second division. Participants will get into the group of the Single Round-Robin format, each of them will play 7 fights in bo3 format. Cherished slots for the winter Major in Lima, Peru, will be given to the top 2 representatives of the region.

Teams ranked 1st to 6th retain their slots in the North American DPC Division One. The 2 teams that performed worse than the rest will be forced to go down in the class.

After a disastrous performance at The International 11, Soniqs disbanded their Dota 2 roster, their slot was taken over by Thiuth Gaming. Evil Geniuses was also left without a roster, having opened a division in South America. Former players of the team were signed by the Shopify Rebellion organization. B8 got the Wildcard Gaming slot, and Wildcard Gaming, in turn, got the KBU.US slot.

Prize distribution

Teams will compete for a $205,000 prize pool and 690 DPC points.

The distribution of awards is shown below:

1st - $30,000 - 300 DPC points - Major and Division I slot
2nd Place - $28,000 - 180 DPC points - Major and Division I slot
3rd - $27,000 - 120 DPC points - Division I slot
4th - $26,000 - 60 DPC points - Division I slot
5th Place - $25,000 - 30 DPC points - Division I slot
6th - $24,000 - Division I slot
7th - $23,000 - Division II slot
8th - $22,000 - Division II slot
