The BetBoom Team was awarded a technical loss in their match against Tundra due to streamsniper by player Pure
The Dota 2 roster of BetBoom Team suffered a defeat due to a technical violation of the rules at The Bali Major tournament. During the break in the playoff match against Tundra Esports in the first round, offlaner Ivan "Pure" Moskalenko was present on Alexander "Nix" Levin's stream, where a game was being casted.
Such an action is a violation of rule 5.2.2, which strictly prohibits communication with individuals not involved in the match, as well as the use of external resources, including streams, to obtain information about the ongoing game. As a result of this violation, IO Esports, the event organizers, awarded BetBoom Team a technical loss.
As a consequence of this penalty, BetBoom Team was relegated to the lower bracket of the tournament and also lost the previously earned DPC points. Thus, the team forfeited its direct qualification to The International 2023. In the next match of the Major, BetBoom Team will face Azure Ray.
