Day two of DPC 2023: WEU Division 1 Tour 3 comes to a close in anticipation of which we have put together a betting tip for the OG - Quest Esports match. The match will close out the day's play and, like all matches on the Long Circuit of the tour, is critical.

The International 2023 is one DPC round away and that is the time clubs need to make the most of. Especially OG, who managed to do well in the last ESL One Berlin Major 2023 and earn the necessary DPC points.

I agree that OG are favourites, but such low odds on their win simply don't match reality. Let me explain.

In the regional league, OG have twice shown a very mediocre performance. In the first round of DPC 2023, ESL One Stockholm Major 2022 champions almost went to the bottom division, and in the second round OG managed to fly into the top 4, but only after tiebreaks with Ooredoo Thunders, by the way.

On the international stage, OG were humbled. They missed The Lima Major 2023, played in only one major season, but very successfully: Top 6. However, at that tournament OG played with two stand-ins, so it is impossible to objectively evaluate the club's level of play.

In addition, OG participated in the DreamLeague (with a full squad there). There they finished in the top 5, which was a pretty good result.

OG has problems again in the new season: Taiga has had to be replaced and it is fraught with consequences. The Norwegian was in fact the captain and now it's up to Chu to take over.

In the first match of DPC 2023: WEU Upper Division Tour 3, OG faced Tundra Esports. The match ended in favor of the reigning champions of The International, but OG managed to snag one card.

Basically, there's not much wrong with OG. They can still play and score points, but their opponent is not a pleasant one, capable of surprising.

Quest Esports form

We continue the review of the match by analyzing the form of Quest Esports. In this matchup they are destined to the fate of the outsider.

The odds of victory for Quest Esports are estimated at odds in the region of 2.8. The double OG advantage is primarily due to the inexperience of Quest.

By and large, the team has been playing at this level for several months and in their second season to be exact. Before Ooredoo Thunders reached DPC 2023: Tour II (formerly Quest Esports called Ooredoo Thunders), the team played in local TIR-2.5 tournaments.

The team closed out the regular season with a 3-4 score, which sent them to the re-match. In that perhaps fateful bo3, they came up just short and it was OG who kept the Ooredoo Thunders (now) Quest out, in their first ever major.

With the third West European DPC round, the Ooredoo Thunders not only got a new club, the Qatari Quest Esports, but also welcomed the already famous ATF to their stun.

The debut match under the new flag and with a new player played against two-time major champions Gaimin Gladiators. The match was very tight, but Quest was unable to rise above the one game they took.

Clockwerk (3 matches, 100% wins), Pangolier (2 matches, 100% wins), Silencer (2 matches, 50% wins), Death Prophet (2 matches, 0 wins), Rubick (2 matches, 0% wins). Not forgetting the signature Morphling.

Quest are capable of causing trouble, and will be very willing to do so in a match against OG. There's the ATF, who became popular playing for OG and the loss last season when OG were not allowed to go to the majors. Everything hints at an evenly matched battle.

Actually played twice and both times last season. OG won twice then, once 2-0, the second time 2-1.

The outcome of the match

In this match, I'm expecting a close bout3. OG with a replacement, Quest with a new player and also both sides play dynamically, so expect a close match.

If we talk about the winner, it will most likely be OG, as they do have more experience.
