The first calendar week of DPC 2023: EEU Upper Division is coming to an end in Eastern Europe. At the end of day 7, local Dota fans will get a very entertaining series on the occasion.

BB Team and HellRaisers will face off in a head-to-head encounter. Both teams are aiming for the top 3 of the tournament and further passage to The Berlin Major 2023, but there's still a long way to go until that happens.

Both teams approach the match in the leading positions. However, the situation is very shaky, and things can change quickly.

HR lead the Eastern European rankings, sharing first place with Team Spirit. The team has won three out of three matches.

BB Team are in the top 3, where they are in 3rd place. The team has taken 2 of their 3 games into their piggy bank.

Let's start our review of the game with a look at the BB Team uniforms. The team is seen as favourites.

Bookmakers continue to believe in the success of the all-star team. The odds on the BB Team's victory in this encounter are estimated at odds in the region of 1.4.

I don't mind thrashing on social media, but as long as it's backed up by results in the end. That gpk- spurring Spirit is one thing, but pouring a series in solo afterwards is another thing entirely.

Last season the BB Team went galloping through Eastern Europe. The team managed to win all 7 matches and 7 games played.

The team did not participate in any side events and fully devoted itself to preparation for the Lima Major 2023. The training for the first major event of the season did not give any results.

At the Lima Major 2023, the BB Team showed a dismal performance and failed to advance beyond the group stage. The team lost the final match of the card against Geek Slate, which prevented them from playing tie-breaks to qualify for the lower reaches of the playoffs.

In the first game of the new DPC round, BB Team played against NaVi. The match ended 2-0, although NaVi struggled a bit on the first map and at one point took the lead, but they had trouble moving into the midgame.

Next, BB played Spirit and there was the first looser. After winning the first map, the team must have relaxed, for the next two were dictated by Spirit, and BB got the first loss.

Next, BB faced One Move. It seems that the star team did not have enough time to recover from the defeat of their crucial rival, which in turn led to their defeat on one of the maps.

The most frequent guest in BB Team's spades is Death Prophet. The character has appeared in spades 13 times and has a 61% win rate.

Rubick (12 games, 58% wins) and Leshrac (11 games, 72%) are also highly popular.

In addition to the above characters, Clockwerk (11 games, 72% wins), Treant Protector (9 games, 66% wins) and Hoodwink (9 games, 66% wins) appeared in BB drafts.

HellRaisers uniforms

Let's move on to an overview of HellRaisers game uniforms. The team will have to play in the second leg.

The former relations between Solo and RAMZES may be an influence here. Apparently, the latter needs a captain of Berezin's type, for RAMZES has faded in Darkside and EG and has taken on part or all of the captain's duties.

HellRaisers performance

HellRaisers finished the first regular season 4-3. In addition to DPC, HR played in outside tournaments from BB.

They played in the BB Universe: Episode 1 - Cosmic Zone. There they managed to make it through the group stage but didn't make it to the play-offs: HR crashed the first game in the top flight and then lost to Ooredoo Thunder in the bottom flight and left the event.

At the Lima Major 2023, the HellRaisers were placed in Group B. Nominally one of the weakest teams in the basket, they managed to win 7 out of 16 matches and then beat Geek Slate in tiebreaks, thereby qualifying for the main stage of the championship.

In the first round of the playoffs, HR faced their last match in the Lima Major 2023. Talon Esports beat their archrivals 2-0, knocking them out of the tournament.

With a renewed squad, DPC successfully started the second round. The team managed to win the first match against Virtus.pro, and in a fairly confident manner.

In the next game HellRaisers played against the local kryptonite of most of the top teams, One Move. They managed to win, but not by a landslide: One Move squeezed off the map for 20 minutes, using a sick Marci + Io combination.

Next up, Hellraiser met RAMZES' former team Darkside. If the first map wasn't a problem (HR won in 29 minutes), then on the second map they weren't so confident and still clinched the victory.

HellRaisers Heroes

The most pickable HellRaisers character is Techies. The hero has been taken 11 times and has a 54% win rate.

Next in line are more standard patch characters like Undying (9 games, 66% win rate), Dragon Knight (9 games, 55% win rate), Rubick (9 games, 33% win rate).

Playing with Enigma (7 games, 71% wins), Storm Spirit (6 games, 100% wins).

History of head-to-head encounters

In fact, the teams have played each other twice in 2023. The first match was in the first round of the DPC and there BB won (2-0).

The second time, HR got even. In the group stage of the Lima Major 2023, the Hellraisers beat BB Team 2-0 without a chance, and with a substitute in the caretaker position.

Result of the match

I see the most obvious outcome of the match as a full-fledged bo3. Both teams are aiming for the top 3 in the new season, and seem ready to beat each other.

If I have to pick a winner, I'd give my preference to HR. Last time HellRaisers was too confident, and RAMZES seems to fit in well, so I see no reason not to believe in HellRaisers in this round as well.
