DRX reverse sweep against EDward Gaming at Worlds 2022
The last match of the Worlds 2022 quarter-finals has ended in New York. The last slot in the semi-finals was played by DRX and Edward Gaming .
The duel between the South Korean club and the reigning world champions from the LPL ended on 5 maps. In a fierce confrontation, DRX turned out to be stronger.
EDward Gaming, after the first two maps, found themselves in the matchpoint from reaching the Worlds 2022 semi-finals, however, Deft and the company had other plans for this. Starting from the third map DRX turned on: Aatrox, Kindred, Sylas, Draven and Soraka brought the first point.
The 42-minute card instilled confidence in DRX and then the LCK team didn't lose their grip. Pyosik, kingen, Zeka, Deft and BeryL made the first reverse sweep in the Worlds 2022 playoffs.
DRX's next opponent on its way to the grand finals will be fellow LCK members, South Korean champions Gen.G. The derby will take place on October 30 at 22:00 CET.
The reigning EDward Gaming world champions lose the chance to defend their title and are eliminated from the tournament. The team joins Rogue, Royal Never Give Up and DAMWON Gaming.

The quarter-finals will be played at the same Hulu Theter from October 21-24, the semi-finals will be hosted by the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, and the final will take place at the Chase Center on November 5 in San Francisco. As part of the championship, 24 teams from all over the world are fighting for a total prize pool of $2,225,000.
