Six Invitational 2022 Spectator Guide
Already today, February 8, the Six Invitational 2022, the main championship of the season in the Rainbow Six discipline, will be launched. Over the next two weeks, 20 teams from all over the world will compete for a prize pool of $3,000,000. As announced in January, due to event restrictions in Canada, the Six Invitational 2022 has been moved to Stockholm, Sweden, where teams will compete in a full LAN format under strict sanitary measures. In this regard, we offer you to get acquainted with the format, participants, schedule and draw of the group stage of the Six Invitational 2022.
Format of the Six Invitational 2022
The event will take place at the Stockholmsmässan Exhibition Center in Stockholm, Sweden from 8 to 20 February.
Six Invitational 2022 will be held in two stages:
- Group stage: February 8-12.
- Playoffs: February 14-20.

Rules for the Six Invitational 2022
As part of the group stage of the Six Invitational 2022, teams will compete in a round robin BO3 format. This means that each team will play four matches in the group, fighting for the final points distributed according to the following rules:
- 2-0 victory - 3 points.
- 2:1 win - 2 points.
- Defeat with a score of 1:2 - 1 point.
- Defeat with a score of 0:2 - 0 points.
The top four teams from each group will qualify for the playoffs, while the fifth-placed team will leave the Six Invitational 2022. The teams that become the strongest in their groups will proceed to the upper bracket quarterfinals. The teams that take 2nd and 3rd places in the groups will go to the first round of the playoffs. At the same time, the teams finishing fourth in their groups will advance to the first round of the lower bracket of the playoffs.
The winners of each match will advance within their bracket, while the losers in the lower bracket will leave the Six Invitational 2022. The championship grand final will take place on February 20 in BO5 format.
Information from the team camp
Some players from Team Empire, Natus Vincere, Ninjas in Pajamas, FURIA Esports, Elevate and Oxygen Esports have tested positive for coronavirus upon arrival in Sweden, according to the championship organizers. All participants who became ill with coronavirus were isolated in accordance with safety protocol.
The organizers of the Six Invitational 2022 have provided the players with the necessary conditions so that they can train and take part in official matches outside the gaming arena. Players will play in separate hotel rooms until they test negative for the coronavirus.
