SANDBOX Gaming, Team Empire, Oxygen Esports and DAMWON Gaming secured their first wins at the Six Invitational 2022

The first round of the Six Invitational 2022 in groups A and D has come to an end, following which SANDBOX Gaming, Team Empire, Oxygen Esports and DAMWON Gaming won their first championship victories. At the same time, there is dual power in each quintet, since the leaders scored the same number of points.

Group A

In their duel against Soniqs, the Russian team Team Empire got a strong-willed victory. At the same time, Zheka's wards had to recoup during the series, losing at Clubhouse. However, in the future, Team Empire managed to hold out against the North Americans and get two points.

In the parallel match, SANDBOX Gaming managed to hold out against the Brazilians from Ninjas in Pajamas. At the same time, the South Korean team also managed to make the fans nervous, allowing the opponent to equalize the score at Clubhouse. Nevertheless, SANDBOX Gaming turned out to be stronger on the third map, thus gaining the same two points.

Match MVP awards went to Always and SyAIL from Team Empire and SANDBOX Gaming, respectively.

In the next quintet, Oxygen Esports dealt with Natus Vincere rather easily. At the same time, the North American team didn't even let their opponent close to them, thus getting three points.

At the same time, DAMWON Gaming outplayed the Brazilians from Team oNe eSports. Despite the devastating score, the opponent made the South Korean team nervous, creating trouble both on Chalet and on the Villa map. As a result, DAMWON Gaming managed to take three points and catch up with the North Americans in the table, who have a rest day tomorrow, February 9th.

The Six Invitational 2022 takes place from 8 to 20 February at the Stockholmsmässan Exhibition Center in Stockholm. Twenty teams compete for a prize pool of $3,000,000, the distribution rules of which will be announced later.
