Team BDS — winner of Six Jönköping Major 2022

Six Jönköping Major 2022 has come to an end. As part of the championship, which was held from November 21 to November 27 in Jönköping, Sweden at the Elmia Congress Center, sixteen teams from Europe, Asia, North and South America fought for a total prize pool of $500,000, as well as rating points. The winner of the tournament was the French team Team BDS, which in the grand final was stronger than Team Liquid with a score of 3:2 (Theme Park - 7:1; Bank - 4:7; Oregon - 4:7; Kafe Dostoyevsky - 7:5; Skyscraper - 7:4).

The championship for the future winner began with a rather shaky performance at the group stage, during which Team BDS outplayed Spacestation Gaming (7:5) and FURY (7:4; 7:3), but at the same time lost to w7m esports twice (5:7 ; 5:7), and also lost the revenge to Spacestation Gaming (4:7). Nevertheless, according to additional indicators, the French took second place and made it to the playoffs.

However, already in the quarterfinals, the team managed to bounce back, having won a confident victory over Wolves Esports (2:0). Then the French team dealt with Soniqs (2:1), thanks to which they made it to the grand final.

The decisive match for Team BDS started with an easy walk on the Theme Park map (7:1). However, after the French received two painful responses to Bank (4:7) and Oregon (4:7), at some point they were on the verge of defeat. Nevertheless, the team managed to open up at Kafe Dostoyevsky (7:5), and then close Skyscraper (7:4) and become the winner of the Six Jönköping Major 2022.

• 13th-16th place: MNM Gaming, SANDBOX Gaming, FURY and Mirage — $5,000 + 50 points
