
Don't miss the start of Rocket League Championship Series 2021-22 - Winter Split Major
Already today, March 23, the Rocket League Championship Series 2021-22 - Winter Split Major will start - the second major event on the Rocket League roadmap. Until March 27, sixteen of the best teams from around the world will compete for a prize pool of $300,000, as well as rating points needed to qualify for the RLCS 2021-22 World Championship. In this regard, we propose to get acquainted with the format of the championship, participants, schedule and distribution of the prize fund of the championship.
Format of the Rocket League Championship Series 2021-22 - Winter Split Major
 The championship will be held in two stages:
-  Group stage: March 23-25 (studio format).
- Playoffs: March 25-27 (LAN - YouTube Theater).
 Sixteen teams are pre-divided into four groups (four teams each).
Group A:
-  DeToNator (Japan).
-  FaZe Clan (North America).
-  Team Queso (Europe).
-  Version1 (North America).
 Group B:
-  EndPoint CeX (Europe).
-  FURIA Esports (Brazil).
-  The General NRG (North America).
-  Renegades (Australia).
 Group C:
-  Evil Geniuses (Europe).
-  G2 Esports (North America).
-  Team BDS (Europe).
-  Team Secret (Brazil).
 Group D:
-  Dignitas (Europe).
-  Pioneers (Australia).
-  Sandrock Gaming (Saudi Arabia).
-  Spacestation Gaming (North America).
 Participants will start their journey from the group stage, which will be played in a round robin format with BO5 matches. The winners of each quartet will advance to the upper bracket semi-finals, while the 2nd and 3rd place teams in their groups will advance to the first round of the lower bracket. However, the remaining teams will leave the championship.
 The twelve remaining teams will advance to a modified double-elimination playoff bracket, where they will compete for the right to become the winner of the Winter Split Major. All matches of the upper bracket of the playoffs will be held in the BO7 format. Opposition within the first and second rounds of the lower bracket - BO5. Starting from the quarter-finals of the lower bracket, the teams will fight in the BO7 format.
Prize pool distribution
-  1st place: $90,000 + 701 points.
- 2nd place: $60,000 + 600 points.
- 3rd place: $30,000 + 520 points.
- 4th place: $24,000 + 440 points.
-  5th-6th place: $18,000 + 380 points.
- 7th-8th place: $12,000 + 320 points.
- 9th-12th place: $6,000 + 220 points.
-  13th-16th place: $3,000 + 120 points.
