The VALORANT Champions Tour 2021: North America Stage 1 Masters has come to an end. The top eight North American teams raffled off $ 150,000 as well as 320 VCT Circuit Points. As expected, the winner of the tournament was the Sentinels team, which in the grand final did not experience any particular problems with FaZe Clan (3: 0).
A feature of the North American championship was the lack of group distribution of participants. As a result, all the teams began their journey from the quarterfinals. The Sentinels started the tournament fairly confidently, beating Luminosity (2: 1), 100 Thieves (2: 0) and FaZe Clan (2: 0). Thanks to three victories, the team made it to the grand final ahead of schedule, and also got an advantage of one map.
The second finalist, Team FaZe Clan, started with two victories over XSET (2: 0) and Team Envy (2: 0). However, after being defeated by the Sentinels (0: 2) in the final of the lower bracket, the team fell to the final of the “losers” bracket, where they easily beat Gen.G Esports (2: 0) and moved on.
