Renegades becomes the last participant of PGL Major Antwerp 2022 from Asia and Oceania
The Renegades team beat TYLOO with a score of 2:0, thanks to which they qualified for the PGL Major Antwerp 2022. The Australian team becomes the last participant in the Belgian major from the united region of Asia and Oceania.
The final of the lower bracket started on the map Inferno, which became the choice of the Chinese team. However, Renegades quickly seized the initiative on the server, closing half of the defense with a two-fold advantage in the score. Well, after the switch of sides, the Australian team did not give up a single round to the opponent, thanks to which they took the lead in the series — 16:5.
Everything was decided on the Vertigo map, where TYLOO instantly turned the game around, finishing the defensive half with a devastating score of 13:2. It would seem that the Chinese team equalized the score in the series, but Renegades had a different opinion on this matter. As a result, the Australian team made a comeback, and then closed the opponent in overtime — 22:20.
