FaZe Clan became the champion of PGL Major Antwerp 2022
The PGL Major Antwerp 2022 has come to an end. At the Antwerps Sportpaleis championship in Belgium from May 9 to May 22, 24 teams from Europe, the CIS, Asia, Oceania, North and South America fought for a prize pool of $1,000,000, rating points in the tables EPT and BLAST Premier, as well as one ticket to BLAST Premier: World Final 2022. Here, RobbaN's wards dealt with Ninjas in Pajamas (2:1) and Team Spirit (2:0), getting a chance to win their first major in history.
The decisive match of PGL Major Antwerp 2022 started on the Inferno map, which became the choice of FaZe Clan. But if at the start the “hosts” looked intimidating, then closer to the change of sides, and after and in the second half, NAVI owned the initiative. And yet, FaZe Clan managed to ride their luck to move the map to overtime, and then take the lead in the series — 19:16. Everything was decided on the Nuke map, which started again with the dominance of RobbaN's wards. And again, NAVI managed to return to the game, as it seemed, having revived the intrigue. However, in the very end, FaZe Clan managed to snatch the initiative in order to win the PGL Major Antwerp 2022 — 16:10.
