BIG becomes another participant of IEM Brazil 2023

The BIG team beat HONORIS 2:1, thanks to which they took the second place in the closed European qualifier for IEM Brazil 2023. Despite a poor start in the qualifiers, the German team improved in the lower bracket and earned an important slot for the big tournament.

The closed qualifier started for BIG with an unexpected loss to Monte (1:2). However, in the lower bracket, the Germans found their game to beat Sprout (2:0), HEET (2:0), ENCE (2:0) and HONORIS (2:1) and get a ticket to IEM Brazil 2023.

The current line-up of IEM Brazil 2023: FaZe Clan, NAVI, FURIA, Team Vitality, OG, Cloud9, Ninjas in Pajamas, MOUZ, fnatic, Outsiders, Heroic, 9INE, BIG and IHC Esports.

Earlier, the organizers presented eleven invited participants of the upcoming tournament. As the organizers noted, some teams, including Team Liquid, G2 Esports and Team Spirit, refused to play at the event due to scheduling difficulties.

IEM Brazil 2023 will take place April 17-23 in Brazil. Presumably, the venue for the competition will be Rio de Janeiro, where IEM Rio Major 2022 took place last year. As part of the championship, sixteen participants from the CIS, Europe, North America, Latin America and Asia will compete for a total prize pool of $250,000, as well as a ticket at IEM Cologne 2023 for the winner.
