Official: IEM Brazil 2023 will be held in Rio de Janeiro
Tournament operator ESL has officially unveiled the venue for its next major CS:GO championship — IEM Brazil 2023. As insiders expected, the tournament will take place in Rio de Janeiro, where IEM Rio Major 2022 was held at the end of last year. Some of the best teams planets will return to Jeunesse Arena, with tickets going on sale March 6th.
Last year, during the IEM Rio Major 2022, the Brazilian public showed such great enthusiasm and passion that we have never seen before in esports. When we announced that we were returning to Brazil, we could already count on a lot of excitement from the community. IEM Rio 2023 is made for an intimate atmosphere and countless unforgettable moments. We can't wait to hit the Jeunesse Arena again this year and do more for the region and for the region in the future.

It is reported that ticket sales for IEM Rio 2023 will begin on March 6 - spectators will be admitted to the playoffs. The championship will start from the group stage, where sixteen teams will be divided into two groups. From here, six teams (three from each group) will go further, which will play for the IEM Rio 2023 champion title.
Note that the last two participants of the tournament will be determined tonight, when the closed qualifiers for Latin America and North America are completed. A little earlier, qualifying events were held in Asia and Europe.

As part of the championship, sixteen participants from the CIS, Europe, North America, Latin America and Asia will compete for a total prize pool of $250,000, as well as a ticket to IEM Cologne 2023 for the winner.
The current IEM Rio 2023 roster includes FaZe Clan, NAVI, FURIA, Team Vitality, OG, Cloud9, Ninjas in Pajamas, MOUZ, fnatic, Outsiders, Heroic, 9INE, BIG and IHC Esports.
