Gaimin Gladiators are the champions of The Lima Major 2023
The last gaming day of The Lima Major 2023 has ended. Gaimin Gladiators and Team Liquid played in the grand final of the tournament. As a result of a rather short bo5 series, the Gaimin Gladiators won the championship. Earlier we wrote about what happened on the penultimate day at the Major in Peru.
For Team Liquid, the day turned out to be somewhat longer than for future champions. Playing with Jabbz as a substitute, Insania and the team were able to defeat Talon Esports 2-0 and reach the grand final of the tournament. It should be noted that bronze at The Lima Major 2023 is an extremely worthy result for Talon Esports.
If not for the emergency substitution, the decisive match in Peru would have been more competitive. Gaimin Gladiators won 3 maps in a row and won the title of champion, along with a solid prize pool of $200,000 and 400 DPC points. Team Liquid also received a $100,000 consolation prize and 350 DPC points for second place. It is worth noting that Seleri and their partners were so happy about their own victory that they managed to break the champion cup of The Lima Major 2023.

Recall that The Lima Major 2023 was held from February 22 to March 5 this year in Lima, Peru. The venue was Arena 1. 18 esport teams fought for a prize pool of $500,000 and 1,900 DPC points needed to get to The International 2023.
