The semi-finals of the Mid-Season Invitational 2022 have ended, following which the Royal Never Give Up and T1 teams made it to the grand final, in which they will compete for the right to become the winner of the championship. The Grand Final of the Mid-Season Invitational 2022 will take place tomorrow, May 29th.
In the first semi-final, which took place yesterday, May 27, the Chinese team Royal Never Give Up beat Evil Geniuses with a score of 3:0 without a chance. Today, May 28, the second semi-final took place, in which T1 turned out to be stronger than G2 Esports with exactly the same score of 3:0.
Note that at the previous stage of the championship, Royal Never Give Up and T1 met each other twice in the BO1 format. If in the first match the victory was won by the Chinese team, then in the second match, the victory went to the representatives of T1.
It is worth recalling that due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Royal Never Give Up team performs at the Mid-Season Invitational 2022 remotely. However, the organizers are adjusting the server to a single delay of 35 m/s in order to level the difference between the teams.
Mid-Season Invitational 2022 runs May 10-29 in Busan, South Korea. Eleven teams from all over the world are competing for a prize pool of $250,000.
