While the numbers of the French broadcast almost doubled, from 47 to 94 thousand, exactly like the Czech one, from 2 to 4 thousand. 46,000 new viewers came to cheer for the Celestial Empire team by watching streams in Chinese.
Total peak online MSI this year set a record of 2,194,104 viewers at the peak, which is more than the previous year by as much as 400 thousand views. And it became the fourth largest event in the history of League of Legends by the number of simultaneous viewers.
Obviously, T1 became the most popular and “viewed” team with an average number of spectators per match of 885 thousand. Right behind them are the winners of this tournament, the Royal Never Give Up team from China with a number of 730 thousand spectators. And the top three was closed by a no less famous team - G2, collecting 618 thousand viewers on average.
Also, according to statistics from Riot Games, ESL One Stockholm Major 2022 and ESL Dota 2, it turned out that 3% of Dota 2 broadcast viewers were interested in the MSI-2022 LoL tournament. While as many as 9% of the ESL One Stockholm Major 2022 CS:GO audience followed the MSI final.
