G2 Esports and EG are relegated, and the East goes further: the results of group B at Worlds 2022

In New York, the group stage of the League of Legends World Championship crossed the equator. The last round of games in Group B ended yesterday at Worlds 2022, the results of which we will tell you about.

In the opening match, North American representatives from EG earned their first victory for themselves and the second for the region. In 32 minutes in Summoner's Rift, EG dealt with their counterparts from G2.

Then the LCS bronze medalists played against JD Gaming, in a match with which they failed to repeat the debut result. The LPL champions took out the evil geniuses in 25 minutes with tempo Sylas and Graves in the woods.

In the middle of the day, G2 played twice and both times the matches ended in fiasco: the TOP-2 LEC team first lost to DAMWON Gaming, and then to JD Gaming.

At the end of the day, DAMWON played two matches in a row. It took them 28 minutes to defeat EG, and 29 minutes to deal with JD Gaming.

There were few scheduled games to determine the championship in group B, and therefore the teams played tiebreaks for the first place. JD Gaming took revenge on DAMWON Gaming by winning in a tough game by 34 minutes.

JDG and DAMWON are heading to the playoffs where they will join T1 and the reigning world champions with DAMWON. G2 Esports and EG are eliminated from the championship in 9th-16th places, repeating the result of Group A - teams from Europe and North America took similar places there.

The 2022 World Championship runs from September 29 to November 5 in Mexico and the United States. The Play-In stage will take place from September 29 to October 4 at the Arena Esports Stadium in Mexico City, and the group stage will take place from October 7-10 and October 13-16 at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden. As part of the championship, 24 teams from all over the world are fighting for a total prize pool of $2,225,000.
