Myunb0ng fired from New York Excelsior without his knowledge

The New York Excelsior esports organization has announced that Seo 'Myunb0ng' Sang-min is leaving the Overwatch roster. It was later revealed that the player learned of his dismissal from Twitter.

Myunb0ng commented on the situation as follows:

I was notified during a feedback session that I had been fired from the organization. It seems to me that I was suddenly kicked due to a mistake by the marketing or SMM team.

The sudden news was the result of a mistake from another department of the club, but that I have not heard anything about a possible dismissal seems highly unjustified.

NY Excelsior later released a statement apologizing and explaining the error. The reason is said to be poor communication within the organization regarding this decision.

The 23-year-old South Korean esportsman joined NY Excelsior in early January of this year as a support player. During his time with NY Excelsior, they took part in the qualifiers for the Overwatch League 2022 - Kickoff Clash, where they stopped in 11th place, which did not allow the club to qualify for the main stage of the tournament. As part of the Overwatch League 2022 - Midseason Madness - Qualifiers, the team could not improve their result and also took 11th place, not getting into this championship.

Now the Korean roster of the organization from New York is participating in the qualifiers for the Overwatch League 2022 - Summer Showdown. The NY Excelsior have already managed to defeat the Houston Outlaws. To travel to LAN, you need to get into the top 8 of the standings.
